Sex Shop thread on the RIP DJ Edwin group
late on the evening of 21st March 2014, there was a thread about the Sex Shop nights held in Brisbane in the early 1990s — it must have been around 1992/3 when the Sex Shop was open. the club only ran for a few months — six months maximum. memories were shared about this club and others around the same time.

Icon was a club night held in "the attic" at Manhattan in the city.
Seth van Buren has an old Icon flyer - on the rear it says, "ICON - Something *is* happening in the Attic at Manhattan. Give someone a call!"

Manhattan was a nightclub located in the Brisbane CBD. There was a room called "The Attic" which held nights called "Icon".

Feelin' Freaky Discotheque was a party held at Babble On (Elizabeth St) in the city. DJs Kazu Kimura, Anthony Parke (Mr House), Mark T, Secret Agent Orange and Pip played at the gig along with Motherfunker from the UK. Presented by Epic Productions and Hypnosis Records.

System 6 was a series of popular parties held in Brisbane. The organizer and promoter was DJ Thief aka Brenton Crooks. There were multiple rooms/areas playing music genres such as Nu NRG, House, Techno as well as a chillout zone. These parties were hard - known for the hardest sounds in Brisbane at the time.
